Campaign Craziness!

Ajamu Baraka speaking at GNC, to visit Dallas & Houston

This campaign season has been hectic for our merry little band of Green Party supporters. Texas Greens just facilitated Dr. Stein in an exciting tour of El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, & Austin, and now we are preparing to host GP VP candidate Ajamu Baraka in DFW on 10/28 & in Houston on 10/29!

Here, Jill stands in front of the new GPTX office on 6th street in Austin, which we took over from the Bernie campaign last month. The final push through to the election is upon us, and we need you to connect with your local party now to distribute door hangers, flyers, & other campaign materials.

Keep reading for pictures & a summary of Dr. Stein's tour...

From left to right above: Scott Pusich for Texas Senate 26, Paul Pipkin for US Rep 20, James "Dorsey" for Bexar County Sheriff, Vanessa Tijerina for US Rep 15, Dr. Jill Stein for President, Martina Salinas for TX RRC, & Rodolfo Rivera Munoz for TX Supreme Court, place 3.

Dr. Stein's tour began in El Paso & featured speeches from several #DownTicketGreens at each appearance as well as exciting performances from artists and poets like this one from Kor Element!

Martina Salinas for TX Railroad Commissioner joined Jill in Houston, San Antonio, & Austin. Martina polled 2% in a four way race in 2014, and plans to improve on that showing in 2016. Her race is one of the statewide contests in which Greens need to earn 5% to maintain ballot access.

We had great crowds & community participation at all events. Above, Brian Harrison for Texas Rep 147 speaks in Houston.

Attendees contributed their own hand prints to the event painting that was later signed & auctioned.

Here our happy auction winner looks on as Jill signs the event painting.

Everywhere, the public greeted Dr. Stein enthusiastically & enjoyed making a personal connection with our Green candidate for President!
