The Congressionally mandated and long anticipated "progress report" on our war on Iraq is being written, not by Gen. David Petraeus and our ambassador to Iraq — which was promised — but by the White House. Spinning the report began several weeks ago, and the spin will increase as the release nears. Release date is likely to be 9/11. At any rate, that is when the peace community in Houston will call for our government to comply with the wishes both of the Iraqi people and the American people:
