Agenda for the State Convention & Meeting is now available!

The GPTX state nominating convention will take place in Bexar County on April 9, 2016. To be a voting delegate you must be elected through the county nominating conventions. The nominating conventions are when the party elects delegates and votes to grant the Green Party nomination to candidates so that they may appear on the general election ballot in November. The delegates will also consider any resolutions brought up from the counties. If you are not attending but wish to be considered for election as a delegate to the Presidential Nominating Convention, you should inform your county's delegation or the state co-chairs.

The GPTX state meeting will take place on Sunday, April 10th, when delegates will elect party officers & conduct other party business. There will be three At-Large SEC positions up for election, in addition to Co-Chair, Treasurer, & Secretary. If you are interested in running for one of the party officer positions, please inform the state co-chairs so that you can be listed in the agenda packet. However, nominations will be accepted at the meeting. Party-building & candidate support workshops are also being planned.

Delegates from the counties to the GPTX state convention & meeting are kindly requested to RSVP for planning purposes as breakfast and lunch will be provided. (CHANGE) A $20 registration fee is requested to attend the state convention, though no one will be turned away for inability to pay. Donations to offset the costs are also requested.
