The candidate filing period for the November 2026 election has ended & we are stoked to have 11 candidates seeking yall's nomination for the Green ballot line. We’ll have more on them soon, but now we need your help in preparing for the convention process!
This afternoon (Sunday, Dec.14), our monthly statewide Zoom call will be focused on the nominating conventions. It’s a vital part of selecting candidates & getting them on the ballot. There will be more trainings in the future, but please attend if you’re able.

2026 Candidates
Sorry! Not quite yet, but we’ll tell you about them soon. Follow our site & socials to catch that news right away. We're all very jazzed about these candidates & can't wait to share the excitement.
Group Highlight
North Texas Wildlife Center is a nonprofit org committed to the rescue, rehab, & release of local injured or orphaned wildlife. Click on this link & behold the adorable critters they’ve been saving: https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/ntxwildlife
And if you’re on Facebook, follow them there: https://www.facebook.com/ntxwildlife/
Also - CAIR. They're doing good work & getting a hard time for it. Show them some love & read our statement of support here: https://www.txgreens.org/gptx_stands_with_cair
Finally, there’s already WAY TOO MUCH ICE in Texas & it’s fixin’ to get real chilly. Find out if a local group is gathering hand warmers, socks, coats, & blankets to redistribute to those in need. If there isn’t one - start it. ERCOT failed us before & these data centers probably won’t help with the power demand. Remember, the Texas state motto is "Friendship." The kind folks in your community might well be friends you haven't met yet.
We hope your holidays are meaningful & refreshing.
The trees might be bare, but Texas is getting Greener.
In solidarity,
GPTX
