Candidates for the 2026 Nomination Conventions

Espoir Ngabo is seeking the Green Party nomination for Congress in District 7. (Houston / Sugar Land area.)

As a child survivor of the Congolese genocide, Espoir Ngabo came to Houston as a refugee at 5 years old. Today he's a IT analyst and community advocate. He's running for Congress to fight for justice and human rights in Texas and around the world.

The Green Party isn't afraid to speak truth to power, and neither is Espoir. The two parties who are running this country are hopelessly dishonest and corrupt.

Espoir is a huge Houston Rockets fan, he never misses a game, including the preseason!

Marlón Durán is seeking the Green Party nomination for Congress in District 28. (McAllen / Laredo area.)

Marlón Durán is running for Congress to end the negligent rule of the two big capitalist parties over our country, and to finally give a voice to the needs of our gente in South Texas! With many years of experience as a community organizer in the RGV, Marlón has demonstrated the strength and integrity to fight for our people, without selling out.

After seeing the Democratic Party step on the will of the voters in election after election, and witnessing the self serving corruption of Democrats like Henry Cuellar, Marlón knew that he had to run as a Green. The Green Party is the only party with ballot access in Texas that doesn't take any corporate PAC money! This guarantees that the Green Party will NEVER betray working people, and always put our interests first.

Alex McMenemy has had enough of representatives who don't represent us. He will fight to route out political corruption and ensure a bright future for all, not just the wealthy.

Shehla Faizi is seeking the Green Party nomination for the statewide office of Comptroller.

Shehla Faizi is running for Comptroller to expose the fact that Texan tax dollars are funding overseas wars and enriching billionaires. Shehla has lived in Texas for 13+ years and has seen the increasing financial struggle of average Texans, with no corresponding increase in wages. She wants to change that, to make sure that Texans' taxes and state investments work for the people!

Shehla chose to run as a Green Party candidate because she lost faith in the two party system after seeing how both Republicans and Democrats are so heavily funded by AIPAC money that they are both willing to turn a blind-eye to genocide.

Shehla produces and hosts her own podcast as an outlet for her love for socio-political discussions. In her free time she enjoys reading, illustrating and archery.
