2026 Nominating Conventions

YOU can help get our Green candidates on the general election ballot in November 2026!

Here's what you need to do:

1. IMPORTANT: To participate in the Green Party nominating conventions, you must not vote in either the Democratic or Republican primary

Just like you can't vote in both the Democratic and Republican primary elections, you can't vote in one of those elections and also vote in the Green nomination process.

You must be registered to vote in the county where you participate.

2. Save the dates!

 - Tuesday, March 10, 7 - 9 pm: In-Person County-Wide Combined Precinct Conventions for each participating county

 - Saturday, March 14, time set by local organizers: In-Person County Convention to re-count the prior votes

 - Saturday, March 21, 11 am - noon: Zoom Combined District Convention for candidates in districts covering multiple counties

 - Saturday, April 11, 11 am - 1 pm: Zoom State Green Party Convention

We'd like as many participants as possible at the March 10 conventions, and then delegates are selected at each stage to move forward to the next stage -- so if you only have time for one Green Party convention this year, please plan to come on Tuesday, March 10!

3. Help plan?

Plans are already being made for conventions in the following Texas counties. If you would like to help organize the convention in your county, OR if your county is not on the list and you'd like to take leadership to plan the conventions there, please email us at [email protected]
