You're invited to vote in the Green Party Convention in March, 2020 all over Texas!

We'll be voting for President of the United States as a candidate for the Green Party of the United States.
We'll also be voting on any statewide Green candidates. Further, we'll be selecting delegates to the Harris County Convention and introducing resolutions to be reviewed by them and potentially going on to the Green Party of Texas State Convention.

2) On Saturday, March 14, 2020 from
2pm to 5pm
we'll be holding the County Convention for the Green Party, also at
Midtown Bar and Grill.

We'll report results from the consolidated precinct conventions, resolutions, and selecting delegates and alternates for the Green Party of Texas State Convention.

Green Congressional candidate Hal J. Ridley, Jr. has announced times and places for conventions in Orange County and Texas Congressional District 36. Ridley is currently the only active Green Party member in Orange County, but any county or district resident who has not voted in the Democratic or Republican primary elections is welcome to participate in these conventions. This is an opportunity to find voters with Green outlooks in a solidly Republican county and district.

In his notification to the GPTX co-chairs, Ridley indicated that he would post notes on the Orange County bulletin board this week.

Orange County Precinct Conventions: The combined precinct conventions for all of Orange County will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, 4-6 pm, at 2100 Wise St #202, Bridge City TX 77611.

County Convention: The full Orange County convention will occur the following Saturday, March 14th, 4-6 pm, also at 2100 Wise St #202, Bridge City.

TX-36 Convention: The convention for Congressional District 36 will happen Saturday, March 21st, 4:00-6:00 pm, at Nokturn Coffee Shop. Nokturn is located near the Johnson Space Center, at 17062 Saturn Lane, Houston TX 77058.

District 36 was one of four new districts created in Texas following the 2010 Census. In addition to Orange County, the district encompasses the entirety of Hardin, Jasper, Liberty, Newton, Polk, and Tyler Counties; most of Chambers County (the whole inhabited portion); and a large eastern portion of Harris County that includes Baytown, Deer Park, La Porte, and NASA/Clear Lake.

Ridley has run for the TX-36 seat, currently occupied by Republican Dr. Brian Babin, twice before. In the 2016 general election, with no Democratic candidate in the race, Ridley received 24,890 votes, 11.39% of the total.
