Voters have more than two choices when affiliating with a political party in Texas. The Green Party nominates candidates to the general election ballot via convention under section 181 of the Election Code.
This is just as valid as voting in the duopoly primary but Greens don't use millions of dollars in taxpayer money for our nomination process.
Since the vast majority of voters do not vote in the duopoly primary (upwards of 70%) they are still eligible to vote in the Green Party conventions which will take place on March 10 from 6-8pm at Mudleaf Coffee Shop in Plano.
County Convention
Delegates nominated at the March 10 Combined Precinct Convention are invited to this Collin County Convention to confirm the vote totals & appoint delegates to the next convention.
When the convention paperwork is done, attendees are invited to stay for an optional meeting on local politics.
