How to operate consolidated Precinct Conventions

Needed:

3 volunteers +

provided forms, checklists, and ballots

Procedure:

  • The first volunteer station has voters sign in to their precinct convention, checks voter registration card or issues an affiliation certificate as appropriate. Either the voter is the first to their convention or joins an already open convention (sign in will need to maintain a running list). Newly opened precincts should get a sign with their precinct number, so that additional voters in that precinct may group together.
  • The second volunteer station should issue each voter's appropriate ballot, based on their precinct, and convention forms for each newly opened precinct convention.
  • The third volunteer station is responsible for guiding the voters through the convention paperwork process after the precinct conventions have congregated and collecting all forms and ballots when voters are done.
  • Once all paperwork has been collected, convention documents must be promptly delivered to the state party cochair.
