  • 2024 Dallas County Consolidated Precinct Conventions

    It's happening!  The 2024 Consolidated Precinct Conventions for Dallas County's Greens will be at Panera Bread, 3826 Lemmon Ave., in Dallas, on Tuesday, March 12th from 7-9pm.

    The Dallas County Convention will be the following Saturday.

    All volunteers requesting Green Party of Texas' systems use permissions must sign the following:

    SYSTEMS USE & CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AGREEMENT

    THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by and between the Green Party of Texas ("the Green Party") and any volunteer employee requesting Green Party systems use permissions ("you"), as a pre-requisite for the issuance of any such permissions.

    In consideration of your employment (which term includes voluntary, unpaid employment) by the Green Party, the access to confidential information which is provided to you by the Green Party, and other good and valuable consideration, you and the Green Party agree as follows:

    1. During the course of your employment by the Green Party, you may be exposed to particular confidential information regarding the business and operations of the Green Party.  This information is a valuable proprietary asset of the Green Party and includes, by way of illustration and not limitation:  computer programs, mailing lists, financial information, employee information, member information, affiliate information, and the like.  Confidential information may also include information which you yourself generate in the course of your employment.
    2. Confidential information is a valuable asset of the Green Party, and its unauthorized disclosure could cause significant harm to the Green Party.  In some instances, this harm, once caused, cannot be corrected.  Therefore, it is necessary that you and the Green Party take steps to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of confidential Green Party information.
    3. In order to protect the Green Party’s confidential information, you agree that both during and subsequent to your employment by the Green Party you shall not disclose any Green Party confidential information to third parties without the prior written authorization of the Green Party, and your use of the Green Party’s confidential information shall be limited solely to the carrying out of your job-related duties.
    4. The Green Party agrees that confidential information shall not include any information which is generally known to the public at large, was known by you prior to your employment by the Green Party, or which subsequently comes to be known to the public at large through no breach of your duties under this Agreement.
    5. You agree that access to Green Party systems is granted at the discretion of the Green Party of Texas State Executive Committee. Data-scraping or harvesting of data from Green Party systems for purposes unrelated to Green Party work is forbidden. Tampering with information to delete or damage systems is forbidden. Using personal information for any kind of harassment is forbidden. Using Green Party systems in any way that is detrimental to the Green Party is forbidden. Any violation of guidelines may result in the termination of systems permissions, at the discretion of the Green Party of Texas State Executive Committee.
    6. This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the Green Party and its successors.  This Agreement is entered into, and shall be interpreted under, the laws of the state of Texas.

    UnderArticle II Party Organization,
    Section 1 : State Executive Committee.
    9. The Treasurer shall maintain the
    financial transactions and file
    financial reports with the Texas
    Ethics Commission (T.E.C.).
    a) If the Treasurer has used party funds
    unauthorized by both the SEC and
    unauthorized by the State Council,
    the
    Treasurer shall be removed from
    office, In eligible to vote in the party,
    ineligible to do any financial work for
    the party,
    until seven years has passed
    after the unauthorized funds used are returned to the party by said former
    Treasurer.
    b) A former Treasurer who fails to
    transfer bank statements to the
    party, after a change of office ,
    shall not engage in any financial
    work for the party until after seven
    years have passed,
    after this former Treasurer has paid
    or returned the cost of bank charges
    for copies of the bank statements.
    c) The Treasurer is required to have the
    approval of the State Council for any
    expenditure. If there
    is an expense privately paid,
    considered a loan, the State Council
    shall decide to approve or not to
    approve the loan.
    d) The Treasurer shall report to the
    State Council, donation
    amounts under $50.00, which are
    presently not required by T.E.C.,
    with the
    donors’ names or as anonymous,
    depending on the choice of the
    donor.
    e) The State Council shall approve a
    witness to observe the party’s T.E.C.
    account, as recommended by the
    T.E.C.
    f) The Treasurer shall provide electronic
    copies of the bank statements to the
    other officers, within a month or
    earlier.

    Things to understand about me:
    • I am a lifelong Pacifist. No War. Peace and non-violence.
    • I have spent decades of my life involved in seeking social justice in conjunction with my personal theology. (“I want to see a mighty flood of justice - a torrent of doing good.” Amos 5.24)
    • The values of Peace and Justice are what drew me to the Green Party.
    • I joined the Green Party in February of 2015
    • I have had local, regional and state responsibilities.
    • Current member of National Committee since 2017.
    • Helped in re-formation of Peaceaction Committee (GPAX).
    • My current role as co-chair of the GPAX is very important to me.

    "I was born on February 20, 1995, in Grand Prairie Texas and I am local resident of Arlington Texas. I graduated from James Martin Senior High School in the Class of 2014 in the Arlington ISD. I am currently a student at Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus I Currently enrolled the in-Library Technician Program. Upon Graduation from High School in 2014, I decided to pursue a potential career in politics. I became a member of the Green Party of the United States towards the end of 2015 before the start of the 2016 Presidential Election. I am currently the Co-Chair of Tarrant County Green Party and I have been Local Organizer and Volunteer of Both the Tarrant County Green Party and The Green Party of Texas since 2017. I currently seeking election for the position of AT Large Member or Secretary on The GPTX SEC. I feel that I would be a good fit for either of these position because of previously Organizing experience with both of the TCGP and The GPTX and I am very familiar with the GPTX Organizational Bylaws and have Previously attended GPTX SEC Meetings. Despite the fact that I have never been on the GPTX SEC. I have however Represented The GPTX as a Delegate to the Green Party National Committee and have contributed my time to represent the GPTX a Delegate to various GPUS Standing Committee such as The Platform Committee and the Presidential Campaign support committee which I have previously been a member most recently I have appointed by the GPTX To The GPUS Accreditation Committee and The GPUS Bylaws, Rules, Policies and Procedures Committee in which I am a current Member so I have quite a lot of experience with Green Party National as well as working with The Youth Caucus and the NLGC. I believe that I would be a good fit for the GPTX SEC because of my Professional Background in Library Technology. I have really good when it comes acquiring and organizing and managing information and help point people to the information they need. I am also commissioned as a Notary Public in the state of Texas. I am currently authorized by the state of Texas to take acknowledgments, administering oaths and affirmations, and performing other notary acts authorized by law. I do believe that make background qualifications makes me a good candidate for GPTX Sectary or as a GPTX SEC at Large Member. I do hope that you would consider supporting my candidacy for either of these positions on the GPTX SEC once it comes up to a vote."

I've been involved in the Green Party since 2016 with Dr. Stein's campaign. Currently, I'm involved in the YES, NLGC and Latinx Caucuses. I'm also on the Accreditation, Media, Platform, Outreach and Diversity Committees. I'm also the Press Secretary for Delilah's Gubernatorial Campaign. I'm very skilled at Networking, Organization, and Social Media. I can easily handle these responsibilities, my scholastic life, and Co-Chair of the State Party.
